Lauren Conrad or "L.C.", as her friends call her was born on February 1st, 1986 in Newport Beach, California. Lauren has grown up in the beautiful city of Laguna Beach. She and her friends enjoy going to the beach, shopping and eating out. Lauren has had an interest in fashion design since 7th grade. After graduating from Laguna Beach High School, she decided to attend "Academy of Art University" and major in Fashion Design. After completing one semester, she realized that the school and San Francisco were not a good fit for her. So she moved back home and attended FIDM in Irvine, California. She got an intern position at "3 Dots" (clothing line) in LA. She is now living in LA and attending FIDM's LA campus majoring in Fashion Design.
In January 2007, Conrad was named the first official spokesperson of "mark.", a line created by Avon and marketed toward young women. She was featured in the brand’s magalog and in the "mark." online community. Conrad was succeeded by Ashley Greene in June 2010. In 2007, Conrad appeared as a satirical version of herself in the comedy Epic Movie. In 2008, Conrad made a cameo appearance in an episode of Greek. In May 2009, Conrad appeared as a cartoon and ironic version of herself in an episode of Family Guy. Conrad had previously done voice work for the show in the episode Prick Up Your Ears in a spoof of Laguna Beach.
Lauren Conrad is an American fashion designer, author, and former reality TV star. Originally from Orange County, California, she rose to fame in the MTV reality television show Laguna Beach. Her popularity on Laguna Beach helped secure her own reality show The Hills. Unlike many reality television stars, Lauren kept the real in “reality” which endeared her to fans and fueled her success.
